It's time to hit the beach again for the BVA's 2008 Beach Volleyball Season. As was the case last year we will be offering competitions to suit players of all levels. Juniors Beach Volleyball starts back up for 2008 on the 20th October for a 6 week competition The competition will be run between 4.30pm and 5.30pm and will cost each player $10 for the 6 week season. **There is a no swim policy in place for the competition.
This competition is open to all secondary students, and will be graded if necessary. Teams of four, five or six (plus subs) are welcome, and can be boys, girls or mixed. The emphasis is on fun, rather than highly skilled competition. Teams umpire and score their own games, and the only trophies are for the team considered the best sports, as voted by their opposition.
Local secondary schools are always advised of the competition before the end of Term 3 and are asked to notify their students. Nomination forms are not necessary as teams are finalised on the first night of competition, though ideally, students will have their own teams organised by then.
